The Landlord and tenant board does nothing to protect the tenant.
The local legal clinic did not provide assistance.
The social housing providers collect the money but fail to maintain safe affordable housing.
They all have their hand out for the money and research does not solve homelessness.
Forced eviction and a hugh debt for this paying tenant

I have inherited a house and it was transferred to me on December 2/08. I was unable to qualify for repairs prior to the transfer because I did not own the house. I was hoping to receive money from the inheritance but I did not. I have applied to March of Dimes and the RRAP program. March of Dimesrefused and RRAP requested that I have my home reevaluated in order to qualify. So I had to get my home devalued. I recently received a re-evaluation of the house from MPAC and I should qualify for the RRAP program.

Our now 22-year-old son has an intellectual disability. He's autistic. He's depressed and frustrated. He takes anti-depressant medication. A large part of the cause of his frustration and depression is that he wants to move out into his own apartment as he sees healthy young men do and which he could also do if he had some support but there is no support available.

"The rich get richer and the poor get poorer". Those who have managed well-stable employment, good education and stable relationships don't get this. They have no idea. Poverty exacerbates mental health issues.
